37-year old swingman Devin Green (201-G/F-82) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for GS Petroliers and receives a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 3 (Second Stage).
He had a double-double of 27 points and 14 rebounds, while his team beat Al Nasr (2-1) 86-81. GS Petroliers is placed at 4th position in Africa Basketball League league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost that single game earlier this stage. GS Petroliers will need more victories to improve their 2-1 record. Green turned to be GS Petroliers' top player in his first season with the team. Devin Green averages this season 12.8ppg and 8.8rpg.

Second best performed player last round was Abdoul Amadou (95) of AS Niglec. He is a in his first season at AS Niglec. In the last game Amadou recorded impressive 36 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Bad luck as AS Niglec was edged by Fap (2-1) 77-75. The Second Stage is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Amadou is a newcomer at AS Niglec and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to another GS Petroliers' star - center Mohamed Seddik Touati (215-C-87). Touati scored 16 points and grabbed nine rebounds. He was another key player of GS Petroliers, helping his team with a 86-81 win against Al Nasr (2-1). GS Petroliers needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 2 victories and 1 lost games. Touati has a great season in Africa Basketball League. After only 6 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 10.0rpg (9th best).
